The 12th Hall of Fame

I thought that might win. At least I was right in that it scored high.

This is the first time a film I nominated has won a hall of fame. I don't really think I can take any credit though, because it's not an "unknown" film or anything. It deserves the spot though.

Congrats JJ on Casablanca...which was my #1 movie.

Congrats to Edarsenal...I am surprised Grand Budapest came in at #2, but very cool.

Really glad Y Tu Mama finished in the top three. My noms haven't done too well in the last few hall of fames i joined so i'm glad some of you got something out of it, it was my #1. Budapest was my #5 and Casablanca my #8.

I didn't include Sanshiro Sugata because I knew at the time that I sent my list that it wasn't eligible anymore. Obviously the movies changed their positions in the end, but this is how I sent in my list.

Awhile ago I said that there were two movies that I didn't like (which you found out) and there was one that I really liked. That one was The Man from Nowhere. Needless to say I was very disappointed that it became ineligible.

Here's mine:

1) The City of Lost Children This was SUCH a wonderful surprise I HAD to put it at #1
2) Casablanca a HUGE favorite, glad to see it made it in at #1
3) The Grand Budapest Hotel purely bias vote, nothing more
4) Barbara another great surprise from Cosmic, so, up in order she went
Knocking a number of these down, sadly, having no where to put them
5) Romper Stomper thought this was gonna do better
6) Never Let Me Go another where I enjoyed was only able to fit it in at this spot
7) Withnail & I Did NOT see this going as low as it did, too bad
8) Midnight Run
9) Joe
10) Y Tu Mama Tambien I think the only reason such a good movie got this low was old man syndrome. An old dog shaking his head at the actions of young pups.
11) Hiroshima Mon Amour like I stated in my review, if I had taken the time to read up on this movie I'm pretty d@mn sure I would have enjoyed it far more than I did

This was a solid HoF. Disappointed to see Withnail to place so low! I divided my list in 3 sections: masterpieces, great films and solid/good films. Sadly I had already seen the 3 masterpieces, but there were some very good surprises here.
