New Theory

I have a new theory that I do not believe has been put forth on MOFO.

Has anyone else noticed that anytime Comedy Central runs an advance 'special' of a comedy the movie turns out to be a crapfest, usually suited to aire only on Comedy Central? Just something that popped into my head while watching a commercial for Van Wilder.

Not true. Comedy Central ran their "Canned Ham" previews for Mamet's State & Mian and John Waters' Cecil B. Demented, for two examples off the top of my head. Plus since their roatation of movies in the past year or so regularly includes things like Rushmore, Raising Arizona, Clue and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, I don't know that "suited to air only on" that channel is all that convincing a premise to start from anyway.

But yeah, National Lampoon's Van Wilder looks pretty slight on the potential scale.
