#20. Die Hard with a Vengeance - Nice………rhymes.

#19. Fatal Attraction - Michael Douglas sure loves affair movies.

#18. The Tenant - Polanski is a jack of all trades.

#17. Peter Jackson’s King Kong - Is that giant ape real mommy? As real as it can get.

#16. Nightmare On Elm Street - That christmas sweater.

#15. Who’s Afraid Of Virgina Wolf - Who thought “damn” could be a swear?

#14. Dirty Harry - You feeling lucky, punk?

#13. Casino - Sharon Stone, wow.

#12. Rosemary’s Baby - Creepy ass film.

#11. Solaris - VISUAL-GASIM.

You got off to a shaky start, although I guess it's cool that you included so many unconventional picks early on, even if I don't care for most of them, but since reaching the top fifty you've been on fire. There's way too many I love to list them all, but some of them include: There Will Be Blood, 3:10 to Yuma, Alien, Nosferatu the Vampyre, Mulholland Drive, Rosemary's Baby and Solaris (as long as we're talking about Tarkovsky's version). Tons of great films, though, and I like that you're throwing in several little gems that don't often appear on these lists, like The Straight Story, for instance.

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Cool, diverse list so far. I like Casino, Rosemary's Baby, Die Hard: with a Vengeance and King Kong (very underrated) from your last set. Funky addition with Fatal Attraction, I do like it quite a bit though not as much as you. Good to see it on a list...............somewhere.

Agree with Honeykid about the original Insomnia being better than the remake , but the Nolan one is still good

From your list Maniac. I like Witness, Misery, Dog Day Afternoon, The Straight Story, Toy Story Trilogy, Nosferatu, Unbreakable. I love Angel Heart - one of my all time favourites - Raging Bull and Alien

#20 Die Hard with a Vengeance - Very good, but I prefer the first 2.

#19. Fatal Attraction - Very good movie; the kind of movie they used to make too many of, and now don't make enough of.

#18. The Tenant - Was just ok for me.

#17. Peter Jackson’s King Kong - A lot of fun and so well done.

#16. Nightmare On Elm Street - Great

#15. Who’s Afraid Of Virgina Wolf - Great

#14. Dirty Harry - Great

#13. Casino - Great

#12. Rosemary’s Baby - Great

#11. Solaris - Impressive, but not for me

#10. Blue Velvet - A Lynch film cleverly disguised with a gripping detective-story dressing.

#9. Apocalypse Now - The most beautiful war has ever looked.

#8. Pale Rider - Clint Eastwood’s not so known cowboy role is one of my favourites.

#7. Halloween - Carpenter has produced a being of true evil.

#6. Sweet Smell Of Success - Gets respect, though not nearly enough to its quality.

#5. Edward Scissorhands - Touching story about love and being an outsider.

#4. Taxi Driver - Even being objective here, Taxi Driver is the number one film about loneliness.

#3. Badlands - For the violent lovers, Martin Sheen is so amazingly cold in this film.

#2. Before Sunrise - This is for the pure and romantics and equally as good.

#1. The King Of Comedy - Poor Rupert Pumpkin, has to catch a break by doing something so unlike him. Hey, at least he won in the end, or did he? Was it all an imagination? That’s what makes this movie my favorite.

3 of my top ten are in your top ten. Well played! Also a great number 1!

That last set is great. There's only two that I don't like and they won't be the ones most people would object to.

I love Blue Velvet, Apocalypse Now, Edward Scissorhands and Taxi Driver, and I like all the others in that set as well, except for Sweet Smell of Success, which I haven't seen. Very cool to see The King of Comedy as your #1. It isn't my favorite Scorsese, but it's a great movie.

#10. Blue Velvet - Awesome

#9. Apocalypse Now - Awesome

#8. Pale Rider - Very good, underrated

#7. Halloween - Great horror classic

#6. Sweet Smell Of Success - Haven't seen yet

#1. The King Of Comedy - Very good but need to see again

Great list bud!

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
#5. Edward Scissorhands - Haven't seen yet

You definitely need to see Edward Scissorhands. I'm not a big Johnny Depp fan, but this is one of his best movies. (I don't dislike him, I just don't see why everybody goes bonkers over him.)
