Oh hell no. I respect Emerald, but I think this one requires abandoning modern sensibilities. I could see a gypsy or Latino Heathcliff, I guess. That in itself would work. But anything else she might bring… I just highly doubt it.

I look forward to the scenes of Heathcliff dancing around naked....

Never finished this book because the final chapters are missing in my copy. The first chapters are repeated at the end. So I never knew what transpired.

Saltburn was legitimately one of the best films released last year. Very underrated for me.
