since i'm bored, and i'm a bored translator, i thought of a game that may enrich everyone's knowledge:
translate the word chosen by the person above into the language of yr choice (possibly indicating which language that is) and choose a new word to be translated by the next person (related or not to the word you just translated),
let's begin easy:
thank you

merci

chicken

In order for this to enrich anyone's knowledge, I would think the languages would have to be identified…

In Cherokee…

Thank You = Wa do

Chicken = tsutagu

Soup = a ga ma

New word:

Hello

They had temporarily escaped the factories, the warehouses, the slaughterhouses, the car washes - they'd be back in captivity the next day but
now they were out - they were wild with freedom. They weren't thinking about the slavery of poverty. Or the slavery of welfare and food stamps. The rest of us would be all right until the poor learned how to make atom bombs in their basements.
