Most Consistent Director?

So many good movies, so little time.
My pick - William Wyler

How about the last 25 movies of his career all being ranked 7.0 or higher on IMDB?

And some really good ones including Ben-Hur, The Big Country, Friendly Persuasion, The Desperate Hours, Roman Holiday, The Detective Story, The Heiress, The Best Years of our Lives, Mrs. Minniver, The Little Foxes, The Letter, The Westerner, Wuthering Heights, Jezebel, Dead End and Dodsworth.

Rob Reiner. A few low-end masterpieces, but steady and strong overall.

Not that Ill watch any of his movies, but Woody Allen is amazingly consistent.

Not seen much from Reiner but i disagree on Allen. He makes so many films that he has pushed out quite a few subpar or bad ones.

Wes Anderson is the best answer in this thread IMO. Well probably Laughton actually but i haven't seen Night of the Hunter.

Uwe Boll is incredibly consistent. Ed Wood was steady as a rock.

I have to return some videotapes...
I find Scorsese to always deliver a film that is at least interesting to me. I don't think I strongly dislike any of his films.

Steven Spielberg. Never not entertaining on some level.
Have you seen Crystal Skull?

For me it is Kurosawa. Only one really bad film (for me at least) the rest range from brilliant, very good, or good. Not a whole lot of mediocrity in Kurosawa's 30 films.
