This was a short film, that I saw at a library before 1985. In other words not a feature film.
The whole thing had no dialogue, just music, if I remember right. It may not have been English language.
In my memory, the film was called "INSOMNIA". But I may be misremembering.
(And you have no idea how many short films there are called INSOMNIA!)
It is humorous.
A woman and man were in bed at night. The woman sleeps, but the man can't get to sleep. So he starts reading a book.
Then the film keeps cutting back and forth between the bedroom scene, and the scenes that show what the man is reading in his book.
The book seems to be DRACULA. But doesn't follow the actual plot of Dracula very closely. But we see a Vampire come out of his coffin, an old castle, and so on.
Various funny things happen. For example, the man at one point keeps reading the same page several times, which means the same scene has to repeat several times--showing a character taking a drink.
In the end, the Vampire dies when the sun comes up and shines through the windows of the castle or mansion or whatever.
Then I guess the guy puts the book away, and goes to sleep. But then the woman wakes up and we see she has vampire fangs and she it looks like she is going to bite the man.
The couple in the bedroom scene were modern (at least at the time the film was made), and the scenes from the book were in an older period.
I saw this a long time ago, so my memory is hazy.
