You're using a temporary google image. They have very low retention; it's a proxy cache. I'm seeing nothing but placeholder icons for instance.

If I go into those links, I get a 403 Forrbidden error.

If you use IMDB and click through, you'll sooner or later end up on an Amazon image. Those stay around a long time.

Not yet. It definitely takes up an increasingly large portion of the database but storage itself is pretty cheap.
