I'm looking forward to for the rest of the year...
(I know I mixed up the order, but does it really matter)

Kubo and the Two Strings
The Nice Guys
Civil War
X-men Apocalypse
The BFG
Finding Dory
Jason Bourne
Ghostbusters (not very sure, but I'm seeing it either way)
Suicide Squad
Snowden
Doctor Strange
A Monster Calls
Silence
and
Star Wars: Rogue One

I can't afford to say loads of films at the cinema so the ones I'm looking forward to seeing are The Jungle Book, Ghostbusters and Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. Hopefully I can see the 2016 Marvel films outside the cinema at some point though.

I am looking forward to all superhero movies!! But Warcraft looked nice too hahah. And still want to watch How To Be Single

Teeter G, I’m curious, although not curious enough to look it up myself, are the dominant characters in any of these movies female other than “Ghostbusters?” Also does anyone know of any movie due out this year in which the dominant character is female, other than “Ghostbusters” and “Moana?”

Tom,

Young Skywalker. Missed you, I have...
Underworld always has a strong female lead.
There is another Bridget Jones movie coming out later this year.
That is all I can think of at this point.

As an aside I forgot to mention Doctor Strange. I want to see Doctor Strange. Also, Rogue One.

Teeter G, Thanks,
Tom,

I honestly don't know what to expect with Warcraft, granted I've never played the game so I don't know if it is remaining faithful if you can say that, but the trailer looks decent, the CGI looks somewhat on the stylistic side, and it's directed by Duncan Jones, and he's made three really good films so far, Moon, Source Code, and The Whistler.

I have to return some videotapes...
2016 has been kind of mediocre so far, I have a feeling it will pick up later in the year, but I have a feeling a lot of the blockbuster's could be very good.

I would say it's been worse than mediocre, but the first 3 months of the year are usually the worst. Still looking forward to:
Midnight Special (I know it's been released, but not near me)
Green Room
Conjuring 2
Before I Wake (if it ever gets released, which Im not sure at this point)
The Other Guys
The Girl on the Train
Passengers
Captain America: Civil War
Paterson
Silence
Kobo and the Two Strings

For me it's most definitely Captain America: Civil War. There has been a lot of build up to this movie and from what I hear it delivers on all the emotional aspects. Too pumped for it. #TeamCap

Some films that seem potentially (very) interesting to me and are listed as 2016 on IMDb (the five films I'm most excited about so far are in green):

Kollektivet (Thomas Vinterberg)
Love & Friendship (Whit Stillman)
Mei Ren Yu (Stephen Chow)
Zootopia
Midnight Special (Jeff Nichols)
Everybody Wants Some!! (Richard Linklater)
Sausage Party
Julieta (Pedro Almodóvar)
Elvis & Nixon
Café Society (Woody Allen)
The Nice Guys (Shane Black)
Elle (Paul Verhoeven)
The Handmaiden (Chan-wook Park)
The Neon Demon (Nicolas Winding Refn)
The Founder (John Lee Hancock)
The Light Between Oceans (Derek Cianfrance)
Sully (Clint Eastwood)
The Lost City of Z (James Gray)
Silence (Martin Scorsese)
La La Land (Damien Chazelle)
Voyage of Time (Terrence Malick)
Passengers (Morten Tyldum)
The Job Hunt (Daniel Metcalf)
Weightless (Terrence Malick)
Untitled Warren Beatty Project about Howard Hughes

I'm not looking forward to anything this year.

Closest I get is looking forward to the inevitable flood of bad reviews certain releases will get.

There has to be something, there is no such thing as a year were not one good movie comes out for anyone.

Warcraft (Duncan Jones)
Jason Bourne (Paul Greengrass)
Don't Breathe (Fede Alvarez)
A Cure for Wellness (Gore Verbinski)
The Accountant (Gavin O'Connor)
A Monster Calls (J.A. Bayona)
The Great Wall (Yimou Zhang)

Probably not going to see all of these, depending on whether some of them get good reviews or not.

Oh I'm sure there will be good movies for me. I saw Zootopia and 10 Cloverfield Lane and I liked them. I'm just not actually excited about anything.

I mean, last year there were movies I was extremely hyped for, I was completely up to date on every new bit of information, I was counting down the days once they got close enough, I bought tickets to a prescreening of one of them, they were pretty much events I was looking forward to for months.

Nothing's even close to that this year. At best they get mild excitement upon seeing a trailer that quickly wears off and is replaced by "Eh, I like movie theaters, I might as well see this in one".
