i was actually going to say something about that. Forrest Gump didn't actually have any disabilites, did he? maybe i missed the whole point of the movie, but i thought he was just 'plain stupid', as someone put it.

Forest Gump had to have metal leg things, too. I think he was.

The calipers magically fell off while running (very quickly) so Gump was obviously faking it to get disability benefits.

Severe learning difficulty is a disability, obviously, but I still contend that Gump was merely thick as two short planks.
