Woo Hoo! Another post apocalyptic film! And this time, it’s for the kiddles! Due out in October this year…
City of Ember is based on the award winning book of the same name about The City of Ember (funnily enough), where its inhabitants have flourished in an amazing underground city where thousands of glittering lights keep the darkness away. That is until the generators keeping the city alive start to fail. With only enough power to keep the city alive for 200 years, the lights start flickering and going out, but as is always the case in kiddles films, two young children hold a key through a passed down secret of their family as to how they can save the city and maybe help people escape to the unknown world of above ground to survive once more.
Cast looks pretty good with the little girl from this years Atonement and Bill Murray as the cities mayor. And judging by the trailer and images below, it does indeed look very beautiful in the city of Ember
