The "survivors" donīt know that they are dead. I saw it MANY years ago but forgot the title.

Got any more details on that one?

Which war?
How many survivors?
Was the crash the end of movie or was thr movie about them surviving?

Two that come to mind:
The English Patient
Flight of the Phoenix

I was thinking The English Patient as well.

I seen a movie like that back in the 1970s and it was on TV so I think it might have been even older. Seems like it was black and white too. I never figured it out for sure but I think it's this:
The Twilight Zone 'King Nine Will Not Return' (1960)

Dang it. I missed the "don't know they're dead" line. *cries*

I'll leave my earlier post up as an eternal marker of my shame.

So thanks to this thread I watched Sole Survivor (1970) last night. It was pretty good too and quite different in feel than most movies. It did feel like a long version of that Twilight Zone episode I posted about. As it turns out both are based on the same true story of a missing WWII plane being found years later in the desert.
