I see some great films on your recent posts! Hot Fuzz and The Truman Show are personal favorites of mine.

Panic Room is a weird case for me; I like the screenplay by David Koepp (which sold for $4 million!) better than the actual movie. Still, David Fincher's signature touches make it a solid film.

Lethal Weapon (1987)
A great buddy cop movie from the 80's and I like how Mel Gibson plays as a smart a** cop character. The sequel was good also, having Pesci as an addition to the movie was cool.

"What did one shepherd say to the other shepherd? Let's get the flock out of here!"

#59

Star Wars (1977)
For a movie that's rated PG, this movie really showed me that just because it's PG and it wasn't going to be good, well I was wrong, it was good for its creativity and excitement.

"May the force be with you"

#58

Resident Evil (2002)
As much as I love the games, 1st and 2nd movie was good, the rest is alright, It's nice they started off with a fresh new character but I think they should of stuck with the video game characters.

"You're all going to die down here."

#57

Happy Gilmore (1996)
A movie that makes golf as a sport more interesting to watch and Sandler was funny in this one also.

"You eat pieces of s**t for breakfast?"

#56

There's Something About Mary (1998)
First off, who in their right mind hires some other guy to track down this girl that you loved your whole life and then coming to find out this guy instantly falls in love with her. If I was me, I would go track her down myself, not in a stalker way though. This was a good Ben Stiller comedy.

"We got a bleeder!"

Master of My Domain
I've seen the original Star Wars a gazillion times since I was a kid, and I still enjoy it. Great pick.

Not a fan of Adam Sandler, but Happy Gilmore made me genuinely laugh a few times, so I give him props for that. I haven't seen the other two entries.

#55

The Cable Guy (1996)
Carrey does a great job playing as a lonely, obsessive, stalker cable guy that only just wanted a friend. Be nice to you're cable guy or else.

"The future is now! Soon every American home will integrate their television, phone and computer. You'll be able to visit the Louvre on one channel, or watch female wrestling on another. You can do your shopping at home, or play Mortal Kombat with a friend from Vietnam. There's no end to the possibilities!"

#54

The Waterboy (1998)
Not a big fan of sports movie, but since Sandler was in it, it made the movie funny to watch.

"You can do it. Cut his f**king head off."

#53

War of the Worlds (2005)
Alien invasion movies are always fun to watch, as long as it's got something going on like this one.

"Lightning never strikes in the same place twice."

#52

Fright Night Remake (2011)
I think DreamWorks did a good job making this movie and one of the good remakes out there.

"That's fiction, okay. This is real. He's a real monster and he's not brooding, or lovesick, or noble. He's the f**king shark from Jaws. He kills, he feeds, and he doesn't stop until everybody around him is dead. And I seriously am so angry you think I read Twilight."

#51

Boyz N the Hood (1991)
A good movie that shows us the struggles of having gang life and how bad things can happened when your involved in this sort of thing. I'm glad that I never had this kind of life for sure.

"Rick, it's the Nineties. Can't afford to be afraid of our own people anymore, man."

I'll give you #50 sometime today since it's going to be in a separate thread and it's a series of movies.

Friday the 13th Films
First off I want to say Jason is my favorite horror movie killer off all time and as they keep bringing him back to life in every movie, I love seeing how it plays out.

Friday the 13th Original - Decent, not bad though.
Parts 2,3,4 - My favorites of mines
Part 5 - An okay movie, better than Part 9 and 10 though.
Parts 6,7,8 - Other favorites of mines, Part 8 was like the first Jason movie I saw.
Part 9 - Sucked, seriously idk why movies like these get made when it looks crappy on film.
Jason X - I thought it was okay also, I think Jason going to space was a weird idea to go for.
Remake - I liked it over the original and atleast in this one we get to see Jason as the killer this time.
Freddy vs. Jason - Seeing two iconic slashers battle each other to the death was great and a cool movie to watch.

" Help! He's killing me! He's killing me!" - from Part 4

#49

Red (2010)
As usual, when you put Bruce Willis in any action movie, you know he'll do an outstanding job like he does in this movie.

" Frank, how many times have I told you? You cannot trust the system! I told you when you're in the system, they switch the flip and you're done. Man, satellites, cell phones, chips, net, the web, the dentist."

#48

Casino (1995)
A good Las Vegas mob movie and like de niro and pesci narrates the movie and tells us what goes on when running a casino.

"When you love someone, you've gotta trust them. There's no other way. You've got to give them the key to everything that's yours. Otherwise, what's the point? And for a while, I believed, that's the kind of love I had."

#47

Simpsons The Movie (2007)
As much as I love the tv show, I liked the movie as well. This was a great movie put on from the people that made this film and an awesome tv show.

"He's not Spider-Pig anymore, he's Harry Plopper."

#46

From Dusk till Dawn (1996)

This is how Vampire movies are suppose to be, blood sucking creatures trying to feed off on live humans. This was a cool movie to watch, if your looking for some vampire killing action..

"All right, vampire killers... let's kill some f**king vampires."

#45

This is the End (2013)

What I liked about this movie is the actors play as themselves and making it a good comedy.

"A huge earthquake happens, who do they rescue first? Actors. They'll rescue Clooney, Sandra Bullock, me. If there's room, you guys will come."

Still need to see Casino. I liked the Simpsons movie but I didnt feel it did the series legacy justice the way South Parks and Beavis and Buttheads movies did. Maybe its because it came out way later but those filma felt more iconicto me. I still liked it enough so i hope that doesnt sound too negative.

Yea why so negative, Mr Tago lol jk, it wasn't negative at all

I love this list, but I may have just found my first concern....This Is The End as a top 50 movie of all time!? haha keep it coming

lol if I was ranking them, this movie wouldn't be on my top 50, probably somewhere more in the 70s or 80s maybe

Well this is definitely a unique favorites list, which I like, but I can't say that I like most of the actual entries on it. I do love Roger Rabbit and Heathers though and they're personal favorites of mine as well. Dog Day Afternoon and Toy Story are solid but I don't love them.

Master of My Domain
I proudly enjoy Red because it's a film right on that fragile line between serious and ridiculous, leading to some great moments. Example: when Bruce Willis destroys a bazooka shell with a single bullet and causes a massive explosion. You don't see that every day.

#44

The Dark Knight (2008)
A dark and cool batman movie with a nice upgrade from the joker which the actor that plays as him did well. I'm not a big fan of Batman, but his others movies are somewhat decent atleast, imo.

"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

#43

The Lord of the Rings 1,2,3 (2001-2003)
A great trilogy that takes you on a journey to explore the middle earth and fighting against the evils that are in it.

“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door…You step into the Road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to.”

#42

The Deer Hunter (1978)
As much as how damn long this movie was, I thought this was a good movie about three friends going out to war at Vietnam and after their dreams of military honor are quickly shattered by the inhumanities of war, they must help each other get away from these Vietnam savages so they can make it back to their home base in Pennsylvania.

" A deer has to be taken with one shot. I try to tell people that but they don't listen."

#41

The Expendables (2010)

It was nice to see a good action packed movie with some big time actors in it. Yea I know some of them are old but what are they supposed to do if they like doing what they love and that is making movies.

"We are the shadows and the smoke, we rise. We are the ghosts that hide in the night."

#40

Fear (1996)
When listening to that wild horses song during that rollercoaster scene it felt intense and the movie does a good job with making this a pleasant thriller.

" It could of all been different, Mr. Walker. You should have allowed nature to take its course. In the end, it will anyway. SO LET ME IN THE F****N' HOUSE!"

28 days...6 hours...42 minutes...12 seconds
Whose signature is that on the FEAR poster?

Whose signature is that on the FEAR poster?

Edit: I'm gonna change for another poster, I hate when movie posters get doodled on

Miss Vicky's Loyal and Willing Slave
Interesting list 88. I like lists that are very personal as opposed to ticking off the same films you always see. And because it's such a personal list there are a few on here I really can't stand (like This Is The End) but that's fine

It's clear to see you're a fellow Jim Carrey fan so I'm appreciating your love for several of his films. on Liar Liar and Ace Ventura but extra credit for recognising the brilliance of The Cable Guy.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Toy Story are big favourites for me. Was also a big fan of Small Soldiers back in the day; very underrated family flick. It's not all sunshine and roses though. I despised Hansel & Gretel; one of the worst films I've seen. I enjoy a good ol' disaster film and Day After Tomorrow is very enjoyable hokum that I've seen a bunch of times and frequently get caught up watching if it's ever on TV.

I've only seen Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles one time each and it was pretty much back-to-back several years ago. One of them I thought was just ok, the other I really liked. But I can't remember which is which. I think it was Pretty in Pink I really enjoyed but could be wrong. 21 Jump Street (and the sequel) was a big surprise for me. I'm not bothered about Channing Tatum, can't stand Jonah Hill and don't tend to like too many contemporary comedies...but I really enjoyed it. Very pleasant surprise

While there are some misses and a number of films I've not seen (mostly the horror ones) you've actually included my own personal top 3 - Lord of the Rings trilogy, Back to the Future and Truman Show. Other big favourites of mine that you've included are First Blood, Lethal Weapon and Saving Private Ryan. Oh and Heathers.

Master of My Domain
I'll always upvote LOTR on a favorite movies list. I've been a fan since childhood.
