I ain't gettin' in no fryer!
The new song by Creed, "My Sacrifice", is a very good song. I have listened to it about 10 times now. It's on their new cd "Weathered", and is due out on the 20th of this month. I don't know the lyrics, because their not avaiable yet, but as soon as I get the lyrics I'll post them here.

Nickelback's This is How You Remind Me:

Never made it as a wise man
I couldn't cut it as a poor man stealin'
Tired of livin' like a blind man
I'm sick of sight without a sense of feelin'
Chorus:
and this is how you remind me
this is how you remind me
of what I really am
This is how you remind me
of what I really am
It's not like you to say sorry
I was waiting on a different story
This time I'm mistaken
For handin' you a heart worth breakin'
I've been wrong, I've been down
Been down to the bottom of every bottle
These five words in my head
Are we havin' fun yet?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no,

It's not like you didn't know that
I said I love you and I swear I still do
It must have been so bad
Cause livin' with me must have damn near killed you
Chorus:

Never made it as a wise man
I couldn't cut it as a poor man stealing
Chorus:

In Soviet America, you sue MPAA!
Circumventing circuses,
Lamenting in protest,
To visible police,
Presence sponsored fear,

Battalions of riot police,
With rubber bullet kisses,
Baton courtesy,
Service with a smile

Beyond the Staples Center you can see America,
With its tired, poor, avenging disgrace,
Peaceful, loving youth against the brutality,
Of plastic existence.

Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around,
Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around.

Round, Round,

A rush of words,
Pleading to disperse,
Upon your naked walls, alive,
A political call,
The fall guy accord,
We can't afford to be neutral on a moving train,

Beyond the Staples Center you can see America,
With its tired, poor, avenging disgrace,
Peaceful, loving youth against the brutality,
Of plastic existence.

Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around,
Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around.

Push them around,
A deer dance, invitation to peace,
War staring you in the face, dressed in black.
With a helmet, fierce,
Trained and appropriate for the malcontents,
For the disproportioned malcontents,
The little boy smiled, it'll all be well,
The little boy smiled it'll all be well,

Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around,
Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around.
Pushing little children,
With their fully automatics,
They like to push the weak around,
Push the weak around,
Push the weak around,
Push the weak around,
They like to push the weak around.

Ok, Peter, and everyone else for that matter, download this song right now:

Drive boy dog boy
Dirty numb angel boy
In the doorway boy
She was a lipstick boy
She was a beautiful boy
And tears boy
And all in your innerspace boy
You had
hands girl boy
and steel boy
You had chemicals boy
I've grown so close to you
Boy and you just groan boy
She said comeover comeover
She smiled at you boy.

Let your feelings slip boy
But never your mask boy
Random blonde bio high density rhythm
Blonde boy blonde country blonde high density
You are my drug boy
You're real boy
Speak to me and boy dog
Dirty numb cracking boy
You get wet boy
Big big time boy
Acid bear boy
Babes and babes and babes and babes and babes
And remembering nothing boy
You like my tin horn boy and get
Wet like an angel
Derail

You got a velvet mouth
You're so succulent and beautiful
Shimmering and dirty
Wonderful and hot times
On your telephone line
And god and everything
On your telephone
And in walk an angel

And look at me your mom
Squatting pissed in a tube-
hole at Tottenham Court Road
I just come out of the ship
Talking to the most
Blonde I ever met
Shouting
Lager lager lager lager
Shouting
Lager lager lager lager
Shouting...
Lager lager lager
Shouting
Mega mega white thing
Mega mega white thing
Mega mega white thing
Mega mega
Shouting lager lager lager lager
Mega mega white thing
Mega mega white thing
So many things to see and do
In the tube hole true
Blonde going back to Romford
Mega mega mega going back to Romford
Hi mom are you having fun
And now are you on your way
To a new tension
headache

"Born Slippy" by Underworld.

OK, here's another Underworld song:

sweet in winter sweet in rain. shake well before use she said.
you never touch me anymore this way.
connector in. receiver out. you let me in through the back door.

ride the sainted rhythms on the midnight train to romford.
ride the sainted rhythms.
sweet in winter sweet in rain. shake well before use she said.
you never touch me anymore this way. oh no.
connector connector connector connector.
you're a connector connector connector connector.

i'm so dirty. and the light blinds my eyes.
you're oh so dirty. and the light it blinds my eyes.
here comes christ on crutches.

call me wet trampoline she said today. well i was too busy with my hand.
shake well before use she said but you never touch me anymore.
i was busy listening for phone sex
coming through the back door. in skin-tight trunks. and we all went mental...
and danced.

i get my kicks on channel six. i get my kicks on channel six...
to the off-peak...electricity.
and the light blinds my eyes. and i feel dirty.
and the light blinds my eyes. and i feel...so...shaken in my faith.
here comes christ on crutches.
and here comes another god. here comes another god like a buffalo thunder
with a...smell of sugar...and a velvet tongue...and designer voodoo.
and i got phone sex to see me through the emptiness in my 501s.
freeze-dried with a new religion. and my teeth stuffed back in my head.

i get my kicks on channel six. the light it burns my eyes.
and i feel so dirty. here comes christ on crutches.
i will not be confused. will not be confused. they left me confused.
i will not be confused...with another man.
this pressure of opinions.
lighten up. listen to your eyes, you said. but all i could see was doris day
in a big screen satellite. disappearing down the tube hole on farringdon street
with whiplash willy the motor psycho.
and the light it burns my eyes. and the light it burns my eyes.
i get my kicks on channel six...

Now With Moveable Parts
I was in a romantic, sort-of, wistful mood this morning. I've been listening to Sara McLachlan and Fiona Apple; some Coldplay.

I Love You

i have a smile stretched from ear to ear
to see you walking down the road
we meet at the lights
i stare for awhile
the world around disappears
just you and me on this island of hope
a breath between us could be miles
let me surround you
my sea to your shore
let me be the calm you seek
oh, and every time i'm close to you
there's too much i can't say
and you just walk away
and i forgot to tell you i love you
and the night's too long
and it's cold here without you
i grieve in my condition
for i cannot find the strenghth to say i need you so
oh, and every time i'm close to you
there's too much i can't say
and you just walk away
and i forgot to tell you
i love you
and the night's too long
and it's cold here without you...
McLachlan-

How You Remind Me means so much to me.
It is the song that was playing in the car as we drove to the shack.

Refer to one of my posts in the "Highlight of your day" thread.

I'll wear a mask for you
If you want a partner

Or if you want to strike me down in anger
here I stand
I'm Your Man

If you want a boxer
I will step into the ring for you
And if you want a doctor
I'll examine every inch of you
If you want a driver
climb inside
Or if you want to take me for a ride
you know you can
I'm Your Man

Ah, the moon's too bright
the chain's too tight
the beast won't go to sleep
I've been running through these promises to you
that I made and I could not keep
But a man never got a woman back
not by begging on his knees
Or I'd crawl to you, Baby,
and I'd fall at your feet
and I'd howl at your beauty
like a dog in heat
and I'd claw at your heart
and I'd tear at your sheet
I'd say please (please)
I'm Your Man

And if you've got to sleep
a moment on the road
I will steer for you
And if you want to work
the streets alone
I'll disappear for you
If you want a father
for your child
or only want to walk with me a while
across the sand
I'm Your Man

At your Funeral by Saves the Day -

This song will become the anthem of your underground
You're two floors down getting high in the back room
If I flooded out your house, do you think you'd make it out?
or would you burn up before the water filled your lungs?
And at your funeral I will sing the requiem
I'd offer you my hand but it would hurt too much to watch you die
And you can bet when we mourn the death of you that night
that they'll lay me on the dinner table and I will be the pig
with the apple in my mouth, the food that celebrates your end
And at your funeral I will sing the requiem
I'd offer you my hand, it would hurt too much to watch you die

"I know it's hard
when you're fat and alone
and no one's around to know you
and you lock up your bike
and it falls down

When you're fat and alone
and on a diet for no one
and on your birthday
only your Mother calls

She says Hap-Happy
Happy Birthday, Pumpkin
I won't talk long
I bet there's someone in your bed

When you're fat you live alone
but you share a bathroom
You walk through the halls
with your toilet paper in your hands

And later on you phone
your friend who lives in Vancouver
and you talk at length
about her little kids

And you stop at the shop
with wedding dresses staring at you
and you think to yourself
I better take a Wok cooking class

I know it's hard when you're all alone
haven't had sex for a year now
I know it's hard when you walk alone
I've seen you at the antique flea market

Life is sad when you wear
sweatpants and a raincoat
and you walk unescorted
and you go into Becker's

And you buy yourself
some corn chips and some salsa
and you go home and eat them
while you read junk mail

And later on your hand
it moves under the covers
and after you've cum
you think about your student loan

I know it's hard when you're all alone
I know it's hard for you"

Now With Moveable Parts
Is he from Kids in the Hall?

Yup, THAT Bruce McCulloch. He released a very good album, called Shame-Based Man, back in 1995. A few of the songs are expanded versions from stuff he did on "The Kids in the Hall", such as "These Are the Daves I Know" and "Doors Fan", but mostly it's new stuff. I think the whole album is hysterical. Put it on your holiday wish list.

Now With Moveable Parts
I will. Thanks.*singing*" These are the Daves I know...I know, these are the Daves I know."

These are the Daves I know I know,
these are the Daves I know
These are the Daves I know I know
these are the Daves I know

David Hockner, he works in my Dad's store
he's worked here for twelve years
he'll probably work here for more

These are the Daves I know I know
these are the Daves I know...

Dave Gort, I've known since I was six
in grade eight he broke his leg
so we got drunk and sick

These are the Daves I know I know
these are the Daves I know...

Some of them are Davids
(but most of us are Daves)
They all have their own hands
but they come from different Mums

These are the Daves I know I know
these are the Daves I know...

Dave Jadisky, man this cat can swing
he weighs almost fifty pounds
and he delivers my paper on time

These are the Daves I know I know
these are the Daves I know...

Dave Capisano, I hardly know him
....
....

These are the Daves I know I know
these are the Daves I know...

(We are the Daves he knows he knows
we are Daves he knows)

(Some of us are Davids
But most of us are Daves
We all have our own hands
but we come from different Moms)

These are the Daves I know I know
(We are the Daves he knows he knows)
These are the Daves

"Daves I Know", Bruce McCulloch

Sinatra:

Those fingers in my hair
That sly come hither stare
That strips my conscience bare
It's witchcraft

And I've got no defense for it
The heat is too intense for it
What good would common sense for it do

'Cause it's witchcraft, wicked witchcraft
And although, I know, it's strictly taboo

When you arouse the need in my
My heart says yes indeed in me
Proceed with what your leading me to

It's such an ancient pitch
But one I wouldn't switch
'Cause there's no nicer witch than you

This gave me a good laugh. I was remembering the time they did this song on the show...goodness, they are funny men. I love ALL those kids in that hall!

Toose- I've always loved that song.

I ain't gettin' in no fryer!
Ok, here's two songs I listen to constantly. They're both by Creed

One Last Breath

Please come now I think I’m falling
I’m holding on to all I think is safe
It seems I found the road to nowhere
And I’m trying to escape
I yelled back when I heard thunder
But I’m down to one last breath
And with it let me say
Let me say

Hold me now
I’m six feet from the edge and I’m thinking
That maybe six feet
Ain’t so far down

I’m looking down now that it’s over
Reflecting on all of my mistakes
I thought I found the road to somewhere
Somewhere in His grace
I cried out heaven save me
But I’m down to one last breath
And with it let me say
Let me say

Hold me now
I’m six feet from the edge and I’m thinking
That maybe six feet
Ain’t so far down

Sad eyes follow me
But I still believe there’s something left for me
So please come stay with me
‘Cause I still believe there’s something left for you and me
For you and me
For you and me

Hold me now
I’m six feet from the edge and I’m thinking

My Sacrifice

Hello my friend we meet again
It’s been a while where should
we begin…feels like forever
Within my heart are memories
Of perfect love that you gave to me
I remember

When you are with me
I’m free…I’m careless…I believe
Above all the others we’ll fly
This brings tears to my eyes
My sacrifice

We’ve seen our share of ups and downs
Oh how quickly life can turn around in
an instant
It feels so good to reunite
Within yourself and within your mind
Let’s find peace there

When you are with me
I’m free…I’m careless…I believe
Above all the others we’ll fly
This brings tears to my eyes
My sacrifice

I just want to say hello again

The sexy MoFo is so sexy I could drink her bathwater!

Packin' an @ss tight as a grape

I wanna spit some game, but I thought to myself
Hmmmm, just conversate!
Cuz I'm usualy quite the calm one

I'm just out havin' fun!
But I'm happy to change my mind for this behind!
If you threw that @ss in to the air...it would turn into sunshine!

Dedicated to one sexy MoFo indeed!

Lonesome Town

There's a place where lovers go
To cry their troubles away.
And they call it,
Lonesome Town,
Where the broken hearts stay.

You can buy a dream or two
To last you all through the years.
And the only price you pay
Is a heart full of tears.

Goin' down to Lonesome Town,
Where the broken hearts stay.
Goin' down to Lonesome Town,
To cry my troubles away.

In the town of broken dreams,
The streets are filled with regret.
Maybe down in
Lonesome Town,
I can learn to forget.
Maybe down in
Lonesome Town,
I can learn to forget.
Lonesome Town.

The Mighty Metallica
Fuel

Gimme fuel, Gimme fire, Gimme that which I desire
Oh, Yeah!
Turn on, I see red
Adrenaline crash and crack my head
Nitro junkie, paint me dead
And I see red
I run across through black and white
War horse
War head
F*ck 'em, man
White knuckle tight
Through black and white
Oh
When I burn
Fuel is pumping engines
Burning hard
Loose and clean
Oh
And then I burn
Turning my direction
Quench my thirst with gasoline
So gimme fuel, Gimme fire, Gimme that which I desire
Turn on beyond the bone
Swallow future, spit out hope
Burn your face upon the chrome
Take the corner, going to crash
Headlights
Headlines
Another junkie, who lives too fast
Yeah
Lives way too fast, fast, fast, fast, fast, fast
White knuckle tight
Gimme fuel
Gimme fire
My desire

On I burn

One more from the mighty Met:

Outlaw Torn

and now i wait my whole lifetime, for you
and now i wait my whole lifetime, for you
i ride the dirt, i ride the tide, for you
i search the outside search inside for you
do take back what you left me, i know i'll always burn to be
the one who seeks so i may find, and now i wait my whole lifetime
my whole lifetime

so on i search my whole lifetime, for you
so on i search my whole lifetime, for you
the more i search the more my need's for you
the more i bless the more i bleed, for you
make me smash the clock and feel, i'd rather die behind the wheel,
time was never on my side, so on i wait my whole lifetime
my whole lifetime

and i'm torn
(hear me) and if i close my mind in fear, please pry it open
(see me) and if my face becomes sincere, beware
(hold me)and when i start to come undone, stitch me together
(see me)and when you see me strut, remind me of what left this outlaw torn
