Props for "Changes"...

ODB on the original Protect Ya Neck by Wu Tang - proving again that he's one of the greatest artists of the 90s.

First things first, man
You're f--kin with the worst
I'll be stickin pins in your head
Like a f--kin nurse
I'll attack any ***** who's slack in his mac
Come fully packed with a fat rugged stack
Shame on you when you step through to
The Ol' Dirty Bastard, straight from the Brooklyn Zoo
And I'll be damned if I let any man come to my center
You'll enter the winter
Straight up and down that sh-t packed jam
You can't slam,
Don't let me get fool on him man
The Ol Dirty Bastard is dirty and stinkin
Ason Unique rollin with the night of the creeps
Niggas be rollin with a stash
Ain't sayin cash
Bite my style I'll bite your motherf--kin a-s!

Hell shall break loose over this one, I see.
Yep. Liberal/atheist crap, as usual. He's very talented, and the tune of the song may be good...but the message is bizzad.

Oh the message of the song is a bit...yes.
Bizzad? Mind explaning what this means? I'm Australian, don't confuse me.

The tune is good, and he is a great talent.
He went sort of, how does one put it...MAD after marrying Yoko.

"The newspaper's said, 'She's gone to his head'.
They look just like two gurus in drag."

Oh, it's just a weird thing that some of us Yanks do. We add "izz" before a vowel in some words...for no particular reason. It's just sort of caught on. Sounds stupid, I know, but I've got the fever. Bizzadd, cizzool, et cizzetera. And yes, he's very talented...no doubt about that.

In Soviet America, you sue MPAA!
Here is a song you'll just LOVE TWT.

System of a Down- Prison Song

They're trying to build a prison,
They're trying to build a prison,

Following the rights movements
You clamped on with your iron fists,
Drugs became conveniently
Available for all the kids,
Following the rights movements
You clamped on with your iron fists,
Drugs became conveniently
Available for all the kids,

I buy my crack, I smack my bitch,
Right here in Hollywood,

Nearly 2 million Americans are incarcerated
In the prison system, prison system,
Prison system of the U.S.

They're trying to build a prison,
They're trying to build a prison,
They're trying to build a prison, (for you and me to live in)
Another prison system,
Another prison system,
Another prison system. (for you and me to live in)

Minor drug offenders fill your prisons
You don't even flinch
All our taxes paying for your wars
Against the new non-rich,
Minor drug offenders fill your prisons
You don't even flinch
All our taxes paying for your wars
Against the new non-rich,

I buy my crack, I smack my bitch,
Right here in Hollywood,

The percentage of Americans in the prison system
Prison system, has doubled since 1985,

They're trying to build a prison,
They're trying to build a prison,
They're trying to build a prison, (for you and me to live in)
Another prison system,
Another prison system,
Another prison system. (for you and me to live in)
For you and I, for you and I , for you and I.

They're trying to build a prison,
They're trying to build a prison,
They're trying to build a prison,
For you and me,
Oh baby, you and me.

All research and successful drug policy show
That treatment should be increased,
And law enforcement decreased,
While abolishing mandatory minimum sentences,
All research and successful drug policy show
That treatment should be increased,
And law enforcement decreased,
While abolishing mandatory minimum sentences.

Utilizing drugs to pay for secret wars around the world,
Drugs are now your global policy,
Now you police the globe,

I buy my crack, I smack my bitch,
Right here in Hollywood,

Drug money is used to rig elections,
And train brutal corporate sponsored
Dictators around the world.

They're trying to build a prison,
They're trying to build a prison,
They're trying to build a prison, (for you and me to live in)
Another prison system,
Another prison system,
Another prison system. (for you and me to live in)
For you and I, for you and I , for you and I.
They're trying to build a prison,
They're trying to build a prison,
They're trying to build a prison,
For you and me,
Oh baby, you and me.

Ya know, most songs meant to have political undertones are much more subtle about it. You might as well write a song called "Abortion Sucks." Anyway, that's a shame...because I like "Chop Suey." Now I MUST hate them.

In Soviet America, you sue MPAA!
But why? It's all true information... It sounds alot better when you listen to it, even though the intro isn't in my taste.

Another funny SOAD song: Needles

I cannot disguise,
All the stomach pains,
And the walking of the canes,
When you, do come out,
And you whisper up to me
In your life of tragedy,

But I cannot grow,
Till you eat the last of me,
Oh when will I be free,
And you, a parasite,
Just find another host,
Just another fool to roast,

Cause you,
My tapeworm tells me what to do,
You,
My tapeworm tells me where to go,
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey

I cannot deny,
All the evil traits,
And the filling of the crates,
When you, do come out,
And you slither up to me
In your pimpin majesty,

But I cannot grow,
Till you eat the last of me,
Oh when will I be free,
And you, a parasite,
Just find another host,
Just another stool to post,

Cause you,
My tapeworm tells me what to do,
You,
My tapeworm tells me where to go,
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey
Pull the tapeworm out of me?

I'm just sitting in my room,
With a needle in my hand,
Just waiting for the tomb,
Of some old dying man,
Sitting in my room,
With a needle in my hand,
Just waiting for the tomb,
Of some old dying man?.

Cause you,
My tapeworm tells me what to do,
You,
My tapeworm tells me where to go,
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey
Pull the tapeworm out of your ***, Hey
Hey,Hey,Hey,Hey.

I love the line "And you slither up to me
In your pimpin majesty"

All true? The song provides no source. Anyway, I think a song should use an analogy or something to try to make it's statements. People would be sort of bugged, and rightfully so, if I made a song that was all just REALLY blunt, obvious rhetoric. Anyway, I really hate bad intros, too...because there isn't a less-than-annoying way around them.

Cousin Kevin by The Who

We're on our own cousin,
all alone cousin.
Let's think of a game we can play
Now the grownups have all gone away.
You won't be much fun
being blind deaf and dumb
But I've no one to play with today.
D'you know how to play hide and seek?
To find me it would take you a week,
But tied to that chair you won't go anywhere
There's a lot I can do to a freak.

How would you feel if I turned on the bath,
Ducked your head under and started to laugh.
What would you do if I shut you outside,
To stand in the rain
and catch cold so you died?

I'm the school bully!
The classroom cheat.
The nastiest playfriend,
You ever could meet.
I'll stick pins in your fingers
And tread on your feet...

Maybe a cigarette burn on your arm
Would change your expression to one of alarm,
I'll drag you around by a lock of your hair
Or give you a push at the top of the stairs...

I'm the school bully !
The classroom cheat.
The nastiest playfriend,
You ever could meet.
I'll put glass in your dinner
And spikes in your seat...

"Subdivision" by Ani Difranco

white people are so scared of black people
they bulldoze out to the country, and put up houses on little loop-d-loop streets
and while america gets its heart cut right out of its chest,
the berlin wall still runs down main street separating east side from west
and nothing is stirring, not even a mouse,
in the boarded up stores and the broken down houses,
so they hang colorful banners off all the street lamps just to prove they got no manners,
no mercy, and no sense.

and i wonder then what it will take for my city to rise,
first we admit our mistakes and then we open our eyes

the ghost of old buildings are haunting parking lots
in the city of good neighbors that history forgot
i remember the first time i saw someone lying on the cold street, i thought:
"i can't just walk past you, this can't just be true."
but i learned by example to just keep moving my feet
it's amazing the things that we all learn to do.
so we're led by denial like lambs to the slaughter,
serving empires of style and carbonated sugar water
and the old farmroad's a four-lane that leads to the mall
and my dreams are all guillotines waiting to fall,

and i wonder then what it will take for my country to rise,
first we admit our mistakes and then we open our eyes
'til nation's last taker succumbs to one last dumb decision
and america the beautiful is just one big subdivision.

Now With Moveable Parts
Love Ani. Her music always reminds me of sharing a room with my sister. That folky crap was playing evertime I walked in the room.LOL. Now that she lives in one town and I still live in our home town, I throw on a little Ani, for old times. Her 20th birthday is the weekend and we're gonna Par-Tah Har-Tah! I'm gonna post some Beastie Boys when I have the time. NO...SLEEP...TILL....BROOKLYN!

"Your Move" by Yes

I've seen all good people turn their heads each day
so satisfied I'm on my way.
I've seen all good people turn their heads each day
so satisfied I'm on my way.

Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life.
Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you a wife.

'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured
For the queen to use.
Move me on to any black square,
Use me any time you want,
Just remember that the goal
Is for us all to capture all we want
(Move me on to any black square)
Yea, yea, yea.

Don't surround yourself with yourself,
Move on back two squares,
Send an Instant Karma to me,
Initial it with loving care
(Don't surround
Yourself.)

'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured
For the queen to use.

Don't surround yourself with yourself,
Move on back two squares,
Send an Instant Karma to me,
Initial it with loving care

Don't surround
Yourself with yourself.
(Don't surround yourself.)

Send an Instant
Karma to me. (Don't surround yourself.)

'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured
For the queen to use.

'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured.

Wanna make out?
Ok, best lyrics ever... Blink 182 what's my age again. This verse in particular...

.....Later on, on the drive home.
I called her mom. from a pay phone.
I said I was the cops.
And your husbands in jail.
The state looks down on sodomy.
That's about the time that b*tch hung up on me.
Nobody likes you when you're 23.
And I should learn how to use my payphone calls.
what the hell is 'caller id'?

Yes I know I added some of the chorus, and I started in the middle of the verse, but it works.

"If you want a lover
I'll do anything you ask me to
And if you want another kind of love
I'll wear a mask for you
If you want a partner
take my hand
Or if you want to strike me down in anger
here I stand
I'm Your Man

If you want a boxer
I will step into the ring for you
And if you want a doctor
I'll examine every inch of you
If you want a driver
climb inside
Or if you want to take me for a ride
you know you can
I'm Your Man

Ah, the moon's too bright
the chain's too tight
the beast won't go to sleep
I've been running through these promises to you
that I made and I could not keep
But a man never got a woman back
not by begging on his knees
Or I'd crawl to you, Baby,
and I'd fall at your feet
and I'd howl at your beauty
like a dog in heat
and I'd claw at your heart
and I'd tear at your sheet
I'd say please (please)
I'm Your Man

And if you've got to sleep
a moment on the road
I will steer for you
And if you want to work
the streets alone
I'll disappear for you
If you want a father
for your child
or only want to walk with me a while
across the sand
I'm Your Man"

American Prayer by The Doors
CONTAINS EXPLICIT LYRICS THAT MIGHT OFFEND SOME

Do you know the warm progress
under the stars?
Do you know we exist?
Have you forgotten the keys
to the kingdom
Have you been borne yet
& are you alive?
Let's reinvent the gods, all the myths
of the ages
Celebrate symbols from deep elder forests

Have you forgotten the lessons
of the ancient war

We need great golden copulations

The fathers are cackling in trees
of the forest

Our mother is dead in the sea

Do you know we are being led to
slaughters by placid admirals
& that fat slow generals are getting
obscene on young blood

Do you know we are ruled by T.V.

The moon is dry blood beast

Guerrilla bands are rolling numbers
in the next block of green vine

amassing for warfare on innocent
herdsman who are just dying

O great creator of being
grant us one more hour to
perform our art
& perfect our lives

The moths & atheists are doubly divine
& dying

We live, we die
& death not ends it

Journey we more into the
Nightmare
Cling to life
Our passion'd flower

Cling to ****s & cocks
of despair

We got our final vision
by clap

Columbus groin got
filled w/green death

I touched her thigh
& death smiled

We have assembled inside this ancient
& insane theatre

To propagate our lust for life
& flee the swarming wisdom
of the streets

The barns are stormed

The windows kept
& only one of all the rest
To dance & save us
W/the divine mockery
of words
Music inflames temperament
When the true King's murderers
are allowed to roam free
a 1000 Magicians arise in the land

Where are the feasts
we are promised
Where is the wine
The New Wine
dying on the vine
resident mockery
give us an hour for magic
We of the purple glove
We of the starling flight
& velvet hour
We of arabic pleasures's breed
We of sundome & the night
Give us creed
To believe
A nightr of lust
Give us trust in
The Night
Give of color
hundred hues
a rich mandala
for me & for you
& for your silky
pillowed house
a head, wisdom
& a bed
Troubled decree
Resident mockery
has claimed thee

We used to believe
in the good old days
We still receive
In little ways
The things of Kindness
& unsporting brow
Forget & allow

Did you know freedom exists
in school books
Did you know madmen are
running our prisons
w/in a jail, w/in a gaol
w/in a white free protestant
maelstrom

We're perched headlong
on the edge of boredom

We're reaching for death
on the end of a candle

We're trying for something
that's already found us

Wow, I'm sick of doubt
Live in the light of certain
south

Cruel bindings

The sevants have the power

dog-men & their mean women
pulling poor blankets over
our sailors

I'm sick of dour faces
Staring at me from the T.V.
Tower, I want roses in
my garden bower; dig?

Royal babies, rubies
must now replace aborted
Strangers in the mud

These mutants, blood-meal
for the plant that's plowed
they are waiting to take us into
the severed garden

Do you know how pale & wanton thrillful
comes death on a stranger hour
unannounced, unplanned for
like a scaring over-friendly guest you've
brought to bed

Death makes angels of us all
& gives us wings
where we had shoulders
smooth as raven's
claws

No more money, no more fancy dress
This other kingdom seems by far the best
until its other jaw reveals incest
& loose obedience to a vegetable law

I will not go
Prefer a feast of friends
To the Giant family

LOL. Calling John Lennon crap?? LOL...sorry, but that is too damn funny. I can understand disagreeing with the GASP horrors of liberalism (gawd knows Limbaugh has brainwashed his dittopuppets into making liberalism synonmous with evil), but Lennon is easily one of the best songwriters of the 20th century.

Hell, I think Dylan has the worst voice I've ever heard, but I have to admit that he is also one of the most gifted musicians of the 20th century.

Hey, the MESSAGE is crap. That's point...liberalism is not usually evil, and Rush Limbaugh needs to talk about something else now and then. Anyway, I have to ask you to please not post lyrics like those above...even with the warning. The script has automatically censored some, but still...obviously you INTENDED to post them.

Anyway, all ya'll: why do you guys always post several times in a row? Just use one post...bullet points if you want.

I returned as a bag of groceries
accidentally taken off the shelf
before the expiration date

I came back as a bag of groceries
accidentally taken off the shelf
before the date stamped on myself

Did a large procession wave their
torches as my head fell in the basket
and was everybody dancing on the casket?

Now it's over I'm dead and I haven't
done anything that I want
or, I'm still alive
and there's nothing I want to do

I will never say the word
"procrastinate" again; I'll never
see myself in the mirror with my eyes closed

I didn't apologize for when I was eight
and I made my younger brother
have to be my personal slave

So I won't sit at home anymore
and you won't see my head in the window
and I won't be around ever anymore
and I'll be up there on the wall at the store
