Kinda worried it's just gonna be Heavy Rain with more movement freedom, but there are some indications it might be "for real." Cautiously optimistic. I like a really precise mix of action and RPG (too much action is monotonous and there's no sense of discovery, too much story and it feels like an interactive movie), so we'll see how this plays.

I'm impressed with the amount of detail, this game looks absolutely stunning. My only issue is the dialogue. More so the voice acting. It's not so horrible that I can't get past it if need be, but would be nice if they worked on it more. So, yeah, when's the release date already?

Just ordered The Darkness and Condemned 2: Bloodshot for xbox 360 cause these games never came out to PC and I doubt they will. Have played both sequel of The Darkness and prequel of Condemned so why not... gonna be my first physical copies

It's a first person RPG, it'll not be Heavy Rain. It'll be much more akin to Bethesda's Fallouts and, as DD mentioned, Deus Ex.

I'm super interested to see how the combat feels and if it comes out this side of a new console cycle. Can see it straddling PS4/5, much in the same way that GTA5 did.

EDIT - Yakuza Kiwami 2 has been released and I'm finding that watching the download tick slowly down is much more interesting than painting the hall, which I really should be doing.

It's console versions of their older games. I have them on PS4 thanks to PS+.
Hey! Don't burst our bubble. There's a chance we might be getting something related to their new game.

Laughing and loving all these people trying to stop people from pre-ordering the juggernaut of this year that will be better than both Fort of Duty and Battle Cyborg Women.

It blows my mind that BOTH Call of Duty and Battlefield really think the Battle Royale forumla will work for them. The main reason Fortnite is so popular is because it is FREE and has the options of paying money for coesmetics or for another mode. CoD and Battlefield will both be 60 dollars or more depending on which copy you get so this Battle Royale audience that they are trying to so desperatly to bring it would probably rather continue to play the FREE Fortnite over shoveling out 60+ dollars for their game. It is sad that I considered Black Ops the best series in the CoD franchise and the only one I'd consider supporting and it was mainly for the zombies mode.

I made the mistake of falling into the WWII hype train last year and I was disappointed by the game. It was the best one in years but that didn't make it that enjoyable still. I really only bought it because of my friends. Not making that mistake i'm done with CoD for good and I haven't played Battlefield consistently for 10+ years back when Modern Combat 2 was the big game so I ain't going back there either.

I don't agree with that. I understand your viewpoint, but there are many people who don't fit into the PUBG or Fortnite world and want to play Battle Royale modes. Fortnite is much too cartoony and fictional for me, and PUBG has been a broken game from the start. I think Battlefield and COD are very wise to adopt this formula. I'm not a fan of either franchise historically (have only bought one or two of each since their beginnings), but I am anticipating trying both of them to see if they execute it well.

I got a bit tired of Battle Royale games around the time PUBG came out of early access. Still play with friends occasionally but it's more for the laughs than the winning.

Yeah, Scum right? I've seen a couple of streams and the game seems over-designed in all the wrong areas. Not fun at all.

And then there was the whole Nazi kerfuffle...

I can see where you're coming from but I have a hard time believing CoD or Battlefied can execute anything well these days.

The Bib-iest of Nickels
I've been exploring through a lot of classic PlayStation video-games as of late. Thus far, I beat Gex and PaRappa the Rapper. Gex was enjoyable as a side-scrolling plat-former, but the voice-acting and "jokes" (which felt more like references for the sake of references, hoping we'd laugh because the subject-matter talked about is familiar) were very overbearing. PaRappa the Rapper has a lot of charm. I dug the animation and music, but it's really delayed and awkward as a rhythmic video-game. It's also very short.

I've started playing Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen (mostly because I wanted to play Soul Reaver), and I've found that I really like it.

Gex was better on the 3DO .

Spiderman reviews are tricklin' out. Sounds like they did a ctrl-C/ctrl-V on the Arkham games. All of the web slinging notes made me think of Batman and his dive-bombing abilities. I got a buddy that is getting it, so I will borrow it and not play it in a few months .

I'm really not feeling the hype for Spiderman. As you say, it looks like another very good *one of those*.

I'm either gonna get another copy of p5 and strategy guide the battle parts/dungeon crawlie, RD, or 2077. I don't see myself shoehorning a game into my schedule...well, unless there is another forum favorite David Cage game I'm unaware of.

I'm lying. I'm totally gonna get Streets of Rage IV.
