Steve Jobs
Danny Boyle, 2015

I seem to like most of Boyle's films. Good acting, and nice to see Seth Rogen in a more serious role. I especially enjoyed the 1-on-1 confrontations between Fassbender and the other characters, the highlight being when he and Jeff Daniels go at it. It was my favourite scene in the film.

Trumbo
Jay Roach, 2015

Felt very bland at times. Hard to get too invested in the story or characters. Always a treat to watch John Goodman.

This will forever be a special film for me, as it's #1000.

The Best Years of Our Lives
William Wyler, 1946

War is my favourite film genre, and this film deals with the tough transition to life after war for three men very well.

The Flame and the Arrow
Jacques Tourneur, 1950

Nice to see a story about Italy, but not too nice to watch an acrobatic exhibition. I should add that Virginia Mayo looked stunning.
