It's a fun little 12 episode American TV series preceded by a feature length pilot, and the second TV series to use this title. It's inspired by the H.G. Wells story but has its own original take on it.

Starring David McCallum as Dr. Daniel Westin, working for the Klae Corporation, his experiments in teleportation result in him discovering and further investigating effects of invisibility, ultimately upon himself with catastrophic and irreversible complications. Beyond return to visibility for the immediate future, he adapts his work as an entity of his corporation becoming known as 'The Klae Resource', using his powers of invisibility only for matters that he deems to be morally acceptable, and continuing his research in the hopes of someday becoming permanently visible again.

Backed up by good and regular supporting characters of his wife Dr. Kate Westin, played by Melinda O.Fee, and Walter Carlson, head of the Klae Corporation played in the series by Craig Stevens. Both characters provide more than adequate support and charm in their roles. David McCallum is fairly typical in this role as he often is: Stoic, ice cold and with dry humour, playing his role as the hero with reluctance but also with confidence.

Aside from the drama evident in the pilot episode, the majority of the series is rather light and even semi-comedic in tone. It's reasonably well produced, and makes considerable use of technical gimmicks to simulate the actions of the invisible man, ala the original film, and does this to varying degrees of success (and comedy). Overall it's a fun and entertaining series, a bit corny at times, but a good and genuine snapshot of the time that was the mid-70s I think, American culture in particular. Definitely worth seeing at least once.
