Directors With The Best Villains

Tools

Which filmmakers do you think have the best villains in their movies? I'd say Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, and Walt Disney all have some of the best.

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
Spielberg - Duel, Jaws, Raiders, Temple of Doom, Hook (HA!), Schindler's List, several others.

From a literary standpoint, Charles Dickens has a great collection of villains which have been transcribed to the big screen.

They didn't occur me to when I first saw the title of the thread, but the Cohen Brothers definitely have brought us some pretty awesome villians. Quentin Tarantino deserves mention here as well.

I'll go with Michael Corleone, Darth Vader, Sauron, Hannibal Lector and The Joker.

That would translate to Francis Coppola, George Lucas, Peter Jackson, Jonathan Demme and Christopher Nolan.

Maybe an honorable mention for Bill the Butcher and Martin Scorsese or The Thing (Christian Nyby).

Give me a little longer and I will come up with another 50 or so.
