'On the Avenue' musical w/ Irving Berlin score.
'It's Love, Again' Jessie Matthews best and she was the best (my opinion)
'Tintypes' history with music.
'Sullivan's Travels' Preston Sturges' best ( again- opinion)
'Brief Encounter' beautifully done romance.'
'His Girl, Friday'
'the Uninvited' well done 'Ghost' story
'the Haunting' (the one with Julie Harris) ditto.
'Slightly Honorable' good mystery/comedy
'City Lights' had to get one of Chaplin's in.

pirates of the carribean?
The Lion King? (( a.k.a. ANY disney movies

completely crazy. ))
Kill Bill?
Requiem for a Dream?
Donnie Darko?

that list is horrible. i dont agree with it.
How can you disagree with someones favorite movies? You can diasagree whether you like them or not, and even debate on why you think someone elses favs are bad, but agreement just does not come into play. Maybe if this were the top 10 Best movies ever you could disagree; my favorite color is blue, do you disagree with that, my favorite veggie is corn, is that ok? Would it be alright if I played my favorite song in my car on the way home tonight or should I check with you first?

Before you get too upset, I am kidding around, welcome to MOFO.

Put me in your pocket...
my favorite color is blue, do you disagree with that,
Blue!?!
Ooooo...I most certainly disagree. It should be red...to match your outfit.

Welcome to MoFo Grey and Laura.

Nice list Grey..I've never seen On the Avenue..I'll need to look that one up.

Laura...Just remember that everyone has different tastes. Kill Bill would never be on any favorite list of mine, but that's cool that you like it.

Hello Aniko.Nice to hear from you.
'On the Avenue' (1937) a musical comedy wasn't very funny, I thought but the songs were great. ( I'm a nut for swing music) score by Irving Berlin singing by Dick Powell, Alice Faye and the Ritz Bros. regards

I'm curious about what list you meant since your post followed right after mine. Couldn't be my list because I did mention one of Chaplins. Seems there were no Disneys on the list that you didn't like, which doesn't mean that whoever didn't like any of Disneys; The list was limited to ten choices. I liked 'Fantasia', 'Pinocchio' 'Snow White' and 'Dumbo' but didn't list them. If I listed all the movies I like, I would've written a book.

I would like to apologize for starting this thread so long ago. I realize how horribly uninspired it is now and as Sedai said, there is a wonderful top 10 feature which I myself have utilized.
