39) The Conversation (1974)



One word to describe this film, paranoia.


WHERE IS THE BUG?!? WHERE IS IT!?

Love Halloween, Eyes Wide Shut, Rear Window, and especially Reservoir Dogs.

I was underwhelmed by The Thin Red Line and The Conversation, but owe each another watch.

I did not like Breathless as I couldn't get past my dislike and lack of interest for the main character.

38) Dazed and Confused (1993)



Alright, alright, alright. One of the best soundtracks of any movie.

Great soundtrack and movie.

37) The Deer Hunter (1978)



I'm fascinated about war films.



Also Robert De Niro does an amazing job

36) Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)





The cleverest comedy ever made. Peter Sellers was a genius.





Also, Sterling Hayden is the manliest man ever.

35) Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)




Terry Gilliam is the master of style. This film is a modern masterpiece.

34) Lolita (1962)



I loved the book and same for the film. It's the most disturbing romantic comedy, ever. How did they ever make a film out of Lolita?

I absolutely love The Conversation and Fear and Loathing. Both are in the top part of my 100 list too
shaping up to be a great list !

33) American Beauty (1999)



There's just something very special about this film. I couldn't stop thinking about it, when I first saw it.

32) Some Like It Hot (1959)




Still one of the funniest and sexiest films ever.







Marilyn has also never looked better.

31) Before Sunrise (1995)




Such a lovely film. It's very realistic and romantic. Perfect in every way, as well as "Before Sunset" & "Before Midnight". The ability to make such entertaining films by just having two people talk amazes me.

Some really great choices so far .

30) Pink Floyd The Wall (1982)




A very abstract film, full of emotion. The only film that takes music and visuals hand in hand.

Any Pink Floyd fans out here?

American Beauty and The Deer Hunter have always been favorites of mine.

I like The Wall, Strangelove, and Fear and Loathing, but it's been a while.

Saw Lolita and Before Sunrise last month-liked those.

Haven't seen Some Like it Hot yet.

29) A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)



A great film by Elia Kazan, the guy that got the best performances out of his actors.

"Hey Stellaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!"



Brando the god!

28) The Exorcist (1973)




A great horror film.

Always great to witness christian friends watching this film for the first time.

The Exorcist will always be in my top 10 .

Only seven that I really like, so far, but that's probably to your credit.

Awesome! List keeps getting better. So far there are 4 i have yet in see in, Grand Budapest, Green Butchers, Lolita and I'm Still here but they are all on my watchlist. With the exception of The Thin Red Line I absolutely love all our your choices.
