When I arrived I saw the family walking with the casket and everyone dressed in white. I'm assuming there was an explanation on how the black panther died. Can someone please relay the explanation? Thank you.

He dies of an unexplained illness. The movie opens with Shuri working in her lab attempting to find a cure when her mother comes in to reveal he has died.
