Greed, Stroheim (1924) - Best version to watch

Gooble gobble, one of us!
For a while I have been interested in watching the silent classic Greed by Stroheim. It seems the only version that I'm able to find with good quality is the 4 hour version, but looking at reviews and essays about the film, they usually reference the 140 minute original version.

Has anyone seen both or either one of those? What did you think, is it worth jumping into the 4 hour version, or should I see the original first? Well basically, I just want to watch the greatest version of the film, so that I can experience its full potential. But since the 4 hour version is a later restored film, with still pictures and so on, I don't know if its gonna ruin my experience.

Would love to hear some thoughts on this subject or the film it self.

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
And it was a long story, but great.
Great top 10, fam, but Raging Bull doesn't fit in there, boy.
