Fury Road A Serious Contender For Best Picture?

A lot of film blogs and websites I've read seem to think so. The rest of the nominations this year are mediocre besides Spotlight, which is the only threat to Fury Road that I can see. The Revenant won't win it. Brooklyn has an outside chance. What do you guys think, will Fury Road ride eternal, shiny and chrome?

As much as I'd like to see it happen, I honestly don't think it will.

I'd be shocked, but then again, I'm shocked that it was even nominated.

Spotlight won the SAG, The Big Short won the PGA, Revenant has the most nominations. One of those three will win.

I hope it will win, but I'll be shocked if it does.

Genre movies are always discriminated. No action movie ever won, no Sci if movie ever won.

One shouldn't care about the Oscars anyway it's just some nonsense self promotion event by hollywood.

I agree, this doesn't really matter at all, I would like to see it win, but doubt it will. The only three that contend really are:

Revenant
Big Short
Spotlight
