The People's Republic of Clogher
Video Killed the Radio Star always made me really sad, apropos to not a lot. Then again, I was only 6 when it came out.

Ark Garfunkel's Bright Eyes gave me nightmares, but I suspect that was more to do with the film on which it appeared...

Anyway: When Jackie Shone - Cashier #9

They're a young Belfast band who I saw a while back, and not bad at all.

Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

Kate Bush - Cloudbusting

If I ever did a list of my 10 favourite songs, this would probably be in there. Don't think there's been anything like it either before or since.

I've still got a massive crush on Kate.
