Yup, that first one is the only one I've seen around the dvd stores I shop at.

Evil Dead 1 Book of the Dead I had heard had the really bad smell, but I never got it so I wouldn't know.

The Evil Dead II Book of the Dead that I have had the smell (which upon smelling now, smells fine), and as an updated bit to the packaging, had the screaming eye feature.

I'm surprised you can still get Evil Dead 1 Book of the Dead versions down there. Up here, the only time I've ever seen it is in the special two pack with Evil Dead II.

Um, just a guess but do you like the Horror genre?

love it. I grew up in the buckle of the bible belt under the rule of ultra-religious parents and missed out on a lot of great stuff. Just making up for lost time.

I see you have 'The Descent' in there. Double disc too. Lucky you.

I'm still gonna try to check that out in theatre this weekend sometime.

don't miss it. Without spoiling anything for you, it's truly the most intensely suspenseful film I've seen since the original 'Alien'. I wanted the double disc because I wanted the alternate ending, not being really crazy about the theatrical version's. I believe the r1 DVD is coming here stateside in November.

Ok, so was the alternate ending as good?

Great Fellini collection I used to love Hammer movies back in the 70's

Thanks, nebbit. I've been collecting along time. Fellini is getting harder and harder to find. My tastes may not seem very discriminating but for every 'cannibal holocaust' there's an '8 1/2'. I collect everything. I love film.

Escape, to me it was just more satisfying.

Lion's Gate, I believe. I also believe I remember reading this at JoBlo's site 'Arrow in the Head'. Remember the Wolf Creek DVD coming out r1 here in the states last March despite it being released in US theaters Christmas? Like Wolf Creek, Descent has already had a theatrical run but has been distributed here in this country even after it's home country's DVD release. Quick release to DVD here. Hope this was helpful.
