Rodent's Two Year Predictions...

Well, 2014 may be a few months away, but I've got scoop on upcoming movie releases. Seeing the other thread on 2015 Summer Blockbusters got me thinking about the next few years of films...

Here's a rundown of what I think will be the Top 20 films of the next 2 years and a Top 10 on where I reckon they'll place.

10. Fantastic Four
9. Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
8. Mission: Impossible 5
7. Terminator 5
6. Prometheus 2
5. Independence Day 2

The top 4 I can see breaking the Billion+ mark, possibly the 2 Billion+ mark during their cinematic runs.

4. The Avengers: Age Of Ultron
3. Bond 24
2. Superman Vs Batman (alongside the possible rebooted Affleck Batman film)
1. Star Wars Episode VII

At the moment, I'd say 2015 is looking like the stronger year in terms of entertainment factor.
Just a shame that the strongest earners are all going to be remakes and sequels over the next 2 years.

I also predict that Psychic Isaac will not make a single meaningful post on MoFo during that time as well.

I would probably put TMNT last, since Bay has got his hands on it. Besides, I think I trust Nolan and his Interstellar.

For 2015, I feel like the Avengers can still top Man of Steel in the sequel showdown, even with DC's ace up their sleeve in Batfleck. You're right about Star Wars, though.

I reckon TMNT will be a bit of a surprise hit tbh...

I'm going to keep these predictions if I can, as long as no other possible Blockbuster suddenly gets announced and the lists change.

Seeing as today is 31st August, I reckon this'll be the day I come on here yearly and make my predictions... so 31st August 2014, I'll repost the 2015 prediction I just made with a 2016 prediction, then in August 2015, I'll make a 2016 and 2017 prediction and so on and so on.

Be an interesting project.
