I would totally go for Lean on Pete, masterful A24 production. Although, seeing how pretty much nobody has seen it at this point, I'm sure it doesn't really have a shot.



I'd say the top 5 would look something like this right now:

1- If Beale Street Could Talk (Dir. Barry Jenkins)
2- First Man (Dir. Damien Chazelle)
3- BlackkKlansman (Dir. Spike Lee)
4- Beautiful Boy (Dir. Felix Van Goreningen)
5- Widows (Dir. Steve McQueen)

though it's a pretty wide open race since it's so early. 'Beale Street' would probably be my odds-on favorite to sweep through the awards though.
