Directed By Women Countdown?

On this board? Oooh. I think there's a list. Countdowns. I abandoned the last one I took part in.

You don't actually have to do anything other than send a list unless you're the host. Some people post in the threads some don't.

I know what my #1 is without having to think.

25 films, right? I think I can send a list.

This countdown strikes me as a bit odd and I'm not sure why. Of course, I would still participate.

Yeah 25. I know my #1 too, i guess some members will know what it is. Got a private list on Letterboxd with 21 films i'd like to vote for so far, so have to get watching.

Everyone should check out some: Andrea Arnold, Lynne Ramsay, Kelly Reichardt and Claire Denis IMO.

Seems like people will be good with this being next but we are still missing the most important piece. That is unless this is Camo volunteering?

Films co-directed by woman should definitely count.

Oddly it's three separate documentaries i'd consider voting for which were co-directed by women.

That list Camo linked to has an awful lot of pink. I'm starting to get uncomfortable.

Absolutely. Do you mean the Horror Challenge except for female directed films? If so that's a great idea and yeah i'd help.

Yeah that would be great. The Horror one has been really fun. Like doing that sort of thing as well as the Director of the Month, to focus on one specific thing coz otherwise i'm all over the place with my movie watching and it takes me months/years to get far into a directors filmography or genre, decade, etc.

It's a hell of a lot of work that's for sure. I don't think I could do another.
