Movies about unexplained phenomenon

Im looking for movies where theres a unexplained phenomenon or item and they are trying to figure it out so they assemble a team of experts, like in stargate or sphere and to a lesser AVP (horrible movie but you get the idea).

The Andromeda Strain is the first movie that comes to mind.

It's not the greatest movie you'll ever see, but it's entertaining for what it is and make sure it's 71' version you watch not the horrible remake.
