So, the new trailers out and it looks good, as expected from Greengrass and Damon but can it live up to the hype? The original was a breath of fresh, brutal air in the stale Hollywood action movie genre. The fight choreography, the camera work and the style was mimicked in just about every action movie that followed, especially Craig's Bond series and even the rough and tumble of Nolan's Batman.
The problem is, by the series' own conclusion (let's forget the Jeremy Renner ********) it was getting a bit stale. How often are we supposed to watch Bourne go through his past? He knows who he is now and in the end, he made a decision to move on. Not to mention all the parkour and hand to hand combat has been done to death.
I'm optimistic but very worried this will end up looking like an imitation.
