Ok, I know I'm doing the unthinkable, I need help finding a film for a friend!

Set in England, a man (who looks like a young Daniel Craig) goes back in time to save his girlfriend from dying. In the end he succeeds but ends up dying himself. The girl may be jennifer love Hewitt, but looking at her IMDB CV, I can't see a match.

Any ideas?
