A song for August

That elusive hide-and-seek cow is at it again
  1. Led Zeppelin - Ramble On
Hated Zeppelin growing up, but they've grown on me like a comfortable fungus over the years.

  2. Graveyard - Please Don't
    Yup.

  3. Electric Light Orchestra - Mr. Blue Sky
    OMG I LOVE The Beatles!!!

  4. Phoebe Killdeer and the Short Straws - The Fade Out Line
Sessy voice with a catchy chorus that reminds me of something that I can't quite place and will likely be angry once connect those two dots. But I do like simple guitar riffs like this one.

  5. Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water
I'm a bit smoked out on this song. I had their Machine Head CD in high school. Once I heard Highway Star, I was a convert.

  6. Sonny James - Young Love
    Nice.

  7. Queensryche - Best I Can
Not a personal favorite of mine from them. I'm also pretty sure Eddie Vedder learned his stage presence by fronting Queensryche earlier on. o.O

  8. Balance of Power - Chemical Imbalance
Weird and JUST outside of my range. Never could get into string synth metal. =\

  9. Moby - My Weakness
Moby is hit or miss for me. The few things that I like I REALLY like, but I always had a weird feeling that he did a lot of the same stuff and couldn't quite get the draw past a few singles. Just me though.

nomincoming.

I think we may be sharing a wavelength....

Congrats, jiraffejustin!

Oof. Mine wasn't a troll nom, I promise.
Yours was the Moby one, right? For what it's worth, I like some of his stuff, and I even own that album, but that's not one of my favorites from it. Didn't dislike it, though.

1. Cream - White Room
2. Gojira - Another World
3. Volbeat - Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood
4. Death in Vegas - Hands Around My Throat
5. Oleander - February Son (btw, the link for this song doesn't go to February Son, but actually to I Walk Alone; I don't know if that's intentional or not)
6. King Crimson - I Talk to the Wind
7. Vincent Neil Emerson - The Ballad of the Choctaw-Apache
8. Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers - Swing The Mood
9. Miriam Makeba & The Skylarks - Orlando

5. Oleander - February Son (btw, the link for this song doesn't go to February Son, but actually to I Walk Alone; I don't know if that's intentional or not)
The link is correct, but I mistakenly put the name of the album ("February Son") instead of the song when listing it. @Chypmunk, can you fix it?

Yes, I get a blissful, euphoric, near-religious experience from that song. Not the majority opinion, obviously. Also, with all of the rock and roll in that round, it probably stood out like a circus peanut would on a charcuterie board.

Oh well. I find it funny more than anything.

Corrected - thanks for pointing it out.
Shows that I (and presumably Seds too) listen without watching doesn't it
At least we listened to the right song .... phew!
