So I finished my list and... where's all the good stuff? Like 'great list' or 'congrats on finishing' or a rating of each film on the list?
If you make a post with all the films I will gladly rate them all.

I thought Oldboy was good. It didn't all work for me, but I would like to see it again. It's certainly a movie that leaves an impression and I can understand the appeal.

Great job on the list Gatsby! Not only a lot of great movies, but the work you did on it was tremendous

Checked through your list, some of your movies are my favorites as well - Pulp Fiction, Leon, Taxi Driver, Im a bit more fond of 2001 now as well. Nice to see Battle Royale as well, Ive only seen it once but I loved it,gonna rewatch it next week, I might check out Internal Affairs as well.
I did see 3 Idiots but remember hating it, not sure why but I remember reviewing it in Movie Tab.

Sorry, was sleeping!

Great list Gatsby! I gave a thumbs up for your number one even though I'm not the biggest Oldboy fan. Don't get me wrong I liked it but just not in the way many others did. I did think the hallway fight with the hammer was pretty cool.

The thing isolated becomes incomprehensible
I loved Oldboy when I watched it for the first time many years ago, I have to rewatch it! I'll watch the movies I haven't watched yet and I'll post my ratings here after!

Amazing list Gatsby! Probably the best I've seen around here!
Are we like movie soul-mates? (****, this sounded gay)
Now I know why I dont hang with you anymore.....

Great list! Congrats on finishing!

A review of my list

The Good:

- Got to share my film taste with the good people of MoFo
- Lots of rep
- Had fun doing a long project

The Bad:

- This list is accidentally a list of 52 films because I numbered them slightly wrong.
- The amount of people following this thread decreased as the list progressed. It is kind of my fault that it took a lot of months to complete and people might have forgotten about it but anyways it's pretty sad.
- I would have loved more discussion. For me the thread was really quiet, and most of the posts being mine.
- The list is actually based on films I've seen up to mid 2013. Therefore, my film taste has changed over the year and a half and has gotten better. If you didn't like this list, you may like the Top 100 one I'm creating soon.

Hey Gatsby-you skip over Sonatine?
I'll cover it in an honorable mentions post if I ever make one. Sonatine is in Ran's spot only for a bit of change and variation- I definitely prefer Ran.

I'm curious how you came to love The Blues Brothers. It's very sentimental to me; I'm from Chicago, saw it there at the movies several times, Belushi is like a god to me, I love the music, and bla bla bla. Aren't you a young Asian dude? Don't get me wrong, I think it's great, but you would seem against the stereotype of someone who loves that movie.

Master of My Domain
Yes, I'm an Asian dude but I spend a lot of my early years in the States- that's why I can relate to and understand American films better than others in terms of culture and the reason for a character making a specific choice or action.

Besides all that I love Blues Brothers because I think it's so much fun too watch regardless of whether you feel sentimental towards it or not. Two men creating so much enjoyable piles of mess and good music nonstop for nearly 2 hours - how is it not likeable?

That's awesome because I think it has a certain attitude and cool that much of the younger generation just doesn't relate to. I was shocked and delighted to see it show up on your list.
