Also, Carla is going to a great asset to this movie. She did ok in the short lived tv show Threshold, so I can def see her as a gov agent investigating the paranormal.

Cant wait. I never saw Escape to Witch Mountain so this one will probally be better to watch..

I dont think it will matter if you watch the old version. In fact, I think I might, because they say that the 2 children from Escape will appear often in this new version (albeit grown).

Well not to mention that if it's a REMAKE, you really don't have to watch the older versions, for example... How The Dark Knight knocked out 1989's Batman...

My daughter loved the old witch mountain movies. She was always looking for them at the library so she could watch them again. So she couldn't wait to see this one.

It was okay. It was better than I expected even. Certain scenes were filmed in a strange way that made me less than thrilled, the car chases, the fights. They were hard to watch due to the filming choices.

I like all the leads. I would like to know what parts the original movie actors had. I suspect one was a waitress in this movie? Does anyone know?

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
The original boy (Ike Eisenmann) plays the Sheriff in this one. The original girl (Kim Richards) does indeed play a waitress in the new one.
