I Googled this and got mixed responses, both yes and no on this question. I leave it up to @Captain Quint to decide whether to keep her or not.



Yeah she's fine - with neo's you will often see deconstructions of noir archetypes - with Fatales, by either by giving them the power they were not allowed under Hays & Breen (see Bridget Gregory) or by blowing it up completely - Evelyn initially fits the model, on the surface, but we go beyond that to see her as a more a tragic figure - if she manipulates the male lead in anyway, it's not for money or power, but freedom from a toxic situation.

I'm not going to stress over it, and she shows up in other lists out there, so I don't see the need to remove her.
