Greatest collaborations: Director/Cinematographer/Composer

There are a number of these collaborations of Director, Cinematographer, and composer who worked together on a handful of great films. My personal favorite trio is: Alfred Hitchcock, Robert Burks, and Bernard Herrmann. They teamed up on 8 films together, starting with The Trouble With Harry (1955) through Marnie (1964), a period which included Vertigo, North by Northwest, Psycho, and The Birds.

Do y'all have any favorite trios? If you can't think of any good 3-man teams, how about Director/DP, or Director/Composer. There are lots of those.

Spielberg/Williams.

Bergman/Nykvist immediately springs to mind.

Good pick. And to expand the point, Spielberg did a dozen or so films with the great Janusz Kamiński as cinematographer, along with J. Williams as composer. Great team!
