Late 90s early 2000s movie about POWs in a prison camp doing forced labor in some Asian country. They had to build a railroad and maybe a wooden bridge for it. They planned there escape and I think fled while they were out there working on it. I thought maybe a remake of Bridge Over River Kwai but can only find the original but that's pretty much the exact same plot but updated graphics/newer movie. Also they might have been trying to sabotage it as well, like in River Kwai. Thanks in advance for any ideas!
