Hi I’m searching for a movie that was released in early 2000 about a family living in farm and drifter stayed with them. The drifter was actually trying to kill the family but didn’t succeed. At the end of the movie the family looked up at the sky and saw the sky light up but it was actually a black hole. I’m trying to remember what it is but can’t please help.

I've not seen this one, but would love to get the name and try it out. Hopefully someone will recognize it!
