American comedy movie - country man goes to town to find a wife

Hi everybody!
This movie is about rich countryside man went to city to look for a new wife! There is a long line of women that try to be his wife! Finally he found one but this women and her mother are gold diggers! They try to harm this man on the wedding! At the end, he marries his helper! This is a US comedy movie!
The movie is made in about 1980s-1990s and the main actor has facial is similar with Tom Selleck!
