"The Last Kiss" - by Pretty Boy Floyd

8th track from their first album, Leather Boyz With Electric Toyz. Steve "Sex" Summers on lead vocalz & sextoyz, Kristy "Krash" Majors on guitarz & anxiety, Vinnie Chas on bassez & incense, and Kari "The Mouth" Kane on drumz & stogies. Intriguing brief window of time around 1988-1989, climactic 1980s style and attitude... then it vanished in a flash. I have this album on cassette, it's great to drive around with on a saturday blared up high with the windows down all bold and forceful-like

"Why do nights like this go so fast. They never last long enough"

Matches its cultural moment smoothly

Wow. Haven't seen anyone else mention PBF on here or, frankly, in forever.

Following the trend, a favourite of my own from that time. Not only two good albums in the late 80's, but were the reason I discovered Russ Meyer.

Fair call, just listened to Grand Funk Railroad's, didn't know there's three performances of Loco-Motion and they all made the top five on the charts in the US. First by Little Eva in the 1960s, second by Grand Funk Railroad in the 1970s, and third by Kylie Minogue in the late-1980s.

"Spanish Eyes" - by Madonna

"Like a Prayer", her fourth album, track number ten
Suggests a more developed and mature side of Madonna than previously
Not persuaded she followed thru with this side of her image, regarding her maturation
The direction she headed towards, in the case of this song, attracts my interest.

Do you have an 80's phase? Not that my fav songs list would look anything like this but I could easily listen to this stuff. I even like early Madonna quite a bit.
