It's still the best example of live-action/animation combination. Lightning in a bottle, and the way it parodies film noir is unforgettable

There are so many great 80s movies, but if I had to pick a favorite, as difficult as that would be, ultimately I would choose Back to the Beach, starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello. Aside from being hilarious, and fun, the film is just a compendium of 80s style, music, and culture wrapped inside a film about 1950s nostalgia. It's a two-for-one win, and is my favorite 1980s film.
