House on a hill scene. Set it on fire.

Need help identifying this movie. Only one scene I can remember. Our main characters are far away from civilization and I believe starving. They come across this big hotel/house on a hill. Isolated as can be. They go there looking for food and a place to stay. The proprietor comes down the stairs played by a major actor hardly recognizable. He refuses hospitality to them saying that some sort of group is arriving soon. They are cooking a feast in the kitchen. Our main characters are forced to leave. That night they make a raid on the place and set it on fire and take all the food they need. Please help me figure out what movies this is. Many thanks.
