Well LOTR Fellowship would be one not sure about other movies, for some reason I keep thinking that movie Drive might make it, probably won't though
Both of those were on the last.

I'm racking my brain for two new entries this high. Maybe The Thing?

Drive wasn't on the last sorry, thought I noticed it on the back end.

Tomorrow's hint:

If you'd hold out for spring
You must endure winter's snows
Then expect the thing
That pride before goes
With each step it rings
You think you know them, although...
As you recoil, it sings
Meeting that gruesome merlot

Bonus hints:

I had a lot of ideas for today's hint, but I didn't wanna sully the "real" one, which is a lot more cohesive than most (and appropriately challenging, since it's getting harder and harder to obscure what's coming next without making them nearly impossible).

So instead I'll just post these bonus hints so the effort isn't for nothing. But I'd strongly encourage anyone who likes the challenge to try to forego these, and if they turn out to be a dead giveaway, kindly say so and hide your guess with spoiler tags so as not to spoil it for others:

WARNING: "Bonus Hint" spoilers below
By necessity chose
A trial simple and speedy
But to dispose of our foes
We must stand at the Ready

No armed insurrection
Will keep them at bay
If you don't know their direction
Nor angle, nor way

The tension is heightened
It will rise as you climb
They won't miss the Point
Unless you reach them in time

Super bonus hint:

WARNING: "Super Bonus Hint" spoilers below
If I were still trying to condense hints down to just a few words or a phrase that pointed to both entries, for this I would've chosen: The bleeding edge.

We've gone on holiday by mistake
A hint to that effect: there are still a couple of films yet to show which weren't even on the last list...
I'm very hopeful that the only film to make me go WOW in the cinema since probably the Two Towers opening when Gandalf fought the Balrog falling down the chasm will be the new high achiever.

WARNING: "." spoilers below
Arrival

Here's my prediction:

The Godfather
Pulp Fiction
Goodfellas
Taxi Driver
Vertigo
Jaws
The Shawshank Redemption
Fellowship of the Ring
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Apocalypse Now
2001: A Space Odyssey

The Big Lebowski

And two that weren't on the last list:
Rashomon
Alien

The Thing or Fargo

2nd Part that contained the spoilers for my guesses

Rashoman I agree with. No idea on the second one.

[Edit: cheating by seeing other answers but I'll take Fargo. Thus, Fargo and Rashoman. Would be a helluva pair if true.]

OK, I'll take a stab in the dark at the top twenty...

1. The Godfather
2. LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring
3. Alien
4. The Big Lebowski
5. Raiders of the Lost Ark
6. 2001: A Space Odyssey
7. Jaws
8. Casablanca
9. Chinatown
10. GoodFellas
11. Blade Runner
12. The Shawshank Redemption
13. Taxi Driver
14. WALL·E
15. Lawrence of Arabia
16. Apocalypse Now
17. Parasite
18. The Thing
19. Vertigo
20. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

But I don't flippin' know anymore. You all are wired.

Looks like Sidney Lumet finally has an entry, but it's his most well known, so that might be his only entry. Kubrick joins the multiples and probably has a few more coming.

3

Alfred Hitchcock: North By Northwest (57), Rear Window (40), Psycho (27)
James Cameron: Terminator 2: Judgment Day (71), The Terminator (56), Aliens (37)
Steven Spielberg: E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (89), Saving Private Ryan (83), Schindler's List (41)

2

Akira Kurosawa: Ikiru (95), Seven Samurai (26)
Andrej Tarkovsky: Andrej Rublev (67), Stalker (25)
Billy Wilder: The Apartment (84), Sunset Boulevard (53)
David Fincher: Fight Club (52), Se7en (49)
Milos Forman: Amadeus (50), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (33)
Paul Thomas Anderson: Magnolia (74), There Will Be Blood (60)
Peter Jackson: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (42), The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (28)
Robert Zemeckis: Forrest Gump (65), Back to the Future (34)

Sergio Leone: Once Upon a Time in the West (31), The Good, the Band & the Ugly (23)
Stanley Kubrick: A Clockwork Orange (32), The Shining (21)

Victor Fleming: Gone with the Wind (55), The Wizard of Oz (36)

12 Angry Men has some of the best casting I've ever seen, but the slightest bit more personally would have made it perfect. I like Network more.

I've seen The Shining four times because it's my type of movie. Nicholson is perfect, but the film is a little too long.
