Old movie where old couple fell in love in country side

I watched this old romantic movie like 20 years ago and it was an old movie at that time. Would say maybe 80s.There was this very old couple living in the country side and the husband I think travelled. There was another old man who came like on holiday to explore the country side, he was a photograph I think. This old man fell in love with that old woman. Can't remember much but I know that I really loved that movie and would love to watch it again. The country side was quite peaceful and had great scenery. Maybe there was someone painting the scenery. Thx
