Car crash involving ambulance (mom on phone)

This was years ago.

There was a movie where a boy got a present or something? And then the mother and the boy are driving somewhere I think. The mom's on the phone and isn't paying attention and she runs right into an ambulance. Then there's a scene of the boy on a stretcher, and the mom following.

I think it's a newer movie, I actually thought it was a commercial when the boy got a present, it has that new "polished" look.

It might be a show too, not entirely sure.

If it is a TV show, it would fit a House intro - patient is admitted for one ailment (car crash), but the real illness is something completely unrelated. I'm not saying it is a House plot, but it fits that show's flavor.
