The Mighty Ducks Sequel Series

"Honor is not in the Weapon. It is in the Man"
Disney+ announced that Steven Brill is co-creating a new sequel series to the 1990's Mighty Ducks film franchise and from the sound of it, it's a meshing of Cobra Kai and Little Giants. Officially returning is Emilio Estevez as Gordon Bombay with Brady Noon as Evan, a 12-year old kid who has been unceremoniously cut from the titular team, who are now as competitive as their one-time rivals, the Hawks. Evan's mother Alex, to be played by Lauren Graham, joins Evan to form a new team of underdogs to take on the Ducks and the ultracompetitive nature of sports.

“Once a Duck, always a Duck!. After 25 years, I am delighted to lace up my skates, put on Coach Bombay’s jacket and return to play the iconic character for this new chapter in ‘The Mighty Ducks’ franchise. Likewise, I am thrilled to return to my old stomping grounds with my friends at Disney and Steve Brill, the original creator of the franchise, to join them on their exciting new platform, Disney Plus.”
