Chopper - coz i've just seen it - altho it's more of an 'inspired by' offering - bordering on 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind' territory.

Trivia: Technically Nightmare on Elm street is based on a true story. (not really mind you). Thing is the writer read an artical in a newspaper about a boy who was killed in his bed while he was asleep. There was no visible signs of a break in. Obviously it takes a twist very active imagination to turn it into nightmare on elm street. But I think you can see the TECHNICALLY about it. Right?
