Most famed would almost definitely include "No... I am your father", "I'll be back", and "Mr. Anderson..."

IMHO

I love Monty Python and the Holy Grail. My pre-teen daughter and I quote this film ad nauseum.

"I'm not dead.....I'm getting better."
"Help, help I'm being repressed."
"Tis but a flesh wound."
"Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries."
"What are you going to do? Bleed on me?"
"Well, she turned me into a newt."
"...let's not go to Camelot...it is a silly place."
"I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?"
"Yes, of course! The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch."

i'm a keanu reeves fan and point break marked a great moment for action movies.

"he's not coming back" - Point break

and i agree with you. i think that the star wars quote has saturated thge world alot more than GWTW. how many kids born in Thailand and Guatemala know about Clark Gable? Star wars took over the world way more than GWTW.

Of the two in the OP I would say Gone With The Wind. But it will eventually change as the generations do.

I like quoting these two from Princess Bride:

"The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!"

"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

Stuck in the middle with you.
My fav. line is "Are you gonna bark all day little doggie or are you gonna bite?"
the most famous line IMO is
"I'll make him an offer he can't refuse."

Tony Montana:All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break them for no one.

Have been waiting for a situation that warrented the use of this line!

In my mind, the most popular/well-known lines in cinema are, among others:

"I'll be back."
-The Terminator

"I'll make him an offer he can't refuse."
-The Godfather

"Freeeedommmm!"
-Braveheart

"Empire had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All Jedi had was a bunch of Muppets." - Dante Hicks

"How lucky I am to have known somebody and something that saying goodbye to was so damned..awful"
(A real-life quote from the film The Other Side of the Mountain

The following quotes are from West Side Story:
"When I get through with you, you will be like a fish after skinning"

"A gang that don't own a street is nothin'"

"Great, Daddy-o"

"Cut the Frabba-jabba"

"Ya done good, buddy-boy"

Let's try to be broad-minded about this
well GWTW has survived longer but i feel like i was just born knowing that vader was luke's father haha i don't remember when i first heard it but i know it wasn't when i saw it the first time

" No matter how big a guy might be, Nicky would take him on. You beat Nicky with fists, he comes back with a bat. You beat him with a knife, he comes back with a gun. And if you beat him with a gun, you better kill him, because he'll keep comin' back and back until one of you is dead." -Robert De Niro in Casino
