Classic Movies You Haven't Seen

What are some classic movies that you haven't seen yet?

Well, a modern classic that I haven't seen is Schindler's List.

As for older classics, I haven't seen Gone With The Wind. I know there are many other "classics" that I've never seen, but I just can't think of 'em right now.

I never saw Casablanca

There's another one for my list, too. I've never seen Casablanca, either.

What's that one with the snowman named Rosebud or something? Is that High Noon? I haven't seen High Noon or the Rosebud one either.

Yeah! That's it! I never saw Citizen Kane either.

By the way, pointing out that the sled was named Rosebud is actually a spoiler.

I have seen Citizen Kane. I even own a copy on Videotape.

Sorry, I changed it.

In Soviet America, you sue MPAA!
Your last post here is now the spoiler Ryan.

Spoilers are okay on old films - I know the ending to Citizen Kane already, even though I've never seen it.

Classics I've never seen, but probably should:

Citizen Kane
Schindler's List (seen part)
Casablanca
Gone With The Wind (seen part)
Police Academy 6
The Godfather Trilogy (small parts)

Great thread Rodney! It has given me an idea!

The Adventure Starts Here!
TWT,

POLICE ACADEMY 6????????

Don't think I didn't see that wedged in there, and NO, you can't watch it on the GOOD TV DOWN HERE, either!

Now that I got that outta my system, classics I haven't yet seen:

Casablanca (not all in one sitting)
Maltese Falcon (and I own it!)
Greatest Story Ever Told (own that too, DOH!)
Casino Royale (again, parts but not the whole thing)

Classics I've finally seen recently, and glad I did:

Some Like It Hot
Dr. Strangelove

This is fun.

Wasn't sure how long it would take for someone to notice that one. About 27 hours in this case - isn't that sad? People today just don't pay attention to detail.

I havn't seen The Maltese Falcon either. I have, however, seen "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" - that was a long, but good movie. The kind where you keep watching it, and you don't even know why.

The Adventure Starts Here!
Half the movies I watch are like that -- I dunno why I started watching them (usually my husband had the remote), but I end up watching the whole thing anyway, and liking it more than I anticipated.

Oh, wait, thought of another one that fits that description (a classic I've seen inadvertently and ended up liking):

Papillion

I saw it, but couldn't think of anything clever to say in response.

Didn't see it.
I'm still waiting for you to name one I haven't seen. I used to record every 3 and 4-star movie on TV. I've watched tons of old classics.

Regarding the thread's title: far too many. Slowly but surely, though, I'm working on it.
